One of my goals is to memorize the servant songs in Isaiah. This morning I copied Isaiah 42:1-12 to my phone. As I copied it, I contemplated the fact that the kings of Israel were suppose to personally make a copy of the scriptures. I think one of the reasons for doing this was that in copying it out themselves, they would have a lot more time to think about it. It would penetrate their hearts a lot more than if they simply read a copy someone else made. I know that in copying Is. 42 to my phone, I noticed things I missed while simply reading it.
